Kristin Luck serves as an advisor and growth strategist to a number of cutting-edge marketing and analytics technology and services firms through her consultancy, ScaleHouse. She is the founder of two marketing analytics companies that she led to successful exits. Kristin co-founded OTX, an online research business that was named the fastest growing research firm in the world in 2002 and 2003 and was subsequently acquired by Pilot Group and again by Ipsos in 2007. She then founded Forefront Consulting Group, a research technology firm that was acquired by Decipher. Decipher was acquired by FocusVision in 2014 after seven consecutive years of double- and triple-digit growth. FocusVision merged with Confirmit in 2021 to become Forsta, where she sat on the the Board of Directors until its recent acquisition by Press Ganey.
Kristin is a licensed investment banker with Oberon Securities and a founder focused on helping fellow founders and executive teams scale and monetize their businesses. Her deal expertise on both sides of transactions comes from participating in both acquisitions and exits from $30 million to $225 million. She is also passionate about supporting founders in international markets execute their entry into the U.S.Kristin regularly contributes to both the commercial (Fast Company, Forbes) and academic press (Research World, Journal of Brand Strategy) where she explores emerging marketing and research methods. She is consistently ranked as one of the top 100 sales and branding experts to follow on social media.
In addition to Founding, Women in Research, Kristin has also served on the board of ESOMAR, the global insights and analytics association, for eight years; including a two year term as Vice-President and a two year term as President.
Sima Vasa is a multi-faceted business leader in the market research and analytics space. Her broad range of expertise centers on P&L management, operations, business development, marketing, entrepreneurship to investment banking. Currently, she focuses on advising clients on overall business strategy, evaluation of strategic options, and execution of investment banking mandates via Oberon Securities, a middle market investment banking firm.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Sima is an active Women in Research executive member, serves on the Port Washington Public Library board of trustees as an elected official, and previously sat as the Chairman of SampleCon. Frequently taking the stage at national technology and market research conferences, Sima is the host of her own podcast, Data Gurus, which has received national recognition as one of the leading podcasts in the market research and data ecosystem vertical. Sima continues to serve on the board of directors of Paradigm Sample, a company that she co-founded.
She earned her MBA in Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business, her undergraduate degree from Drexel University, and she’s a former member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO).
Andrew transformed the industry by developing a customer intelligence software platform that allows companies to have continuous engagement with thousands of their customers to obtain real-time feedback on new products, services, advertising, promotions and much more. Vision Critical is now $100M business. What began in 2000, as a start-up in Vancouver’s emerging tech scene, has now turned an award-winning, cloud-based, customer intelligence company with 16 offices and over 800 employees around the world. Andrew attended Vancouver Film School and in 2011, completed the Stanford University’s Business Executive Program. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and sits on the Board for BCTIA and CASRO.
John Almeida, Jr. is a co-founder of Reimagine Holdings Group and Managing Partner of Five Peaks Capital Management, the founding investor of Reimagine. Mr. Almeida spent twelve years at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS), a private equity firm with over $16 billion of private equity and subordinated debt capital under management where he was a General Partner and Member of the Management Committee. Mr. Almeida holds a B.A. degree from Yale College, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
