Industry organizations band together to highlight and celebrate individuals making significant strides toward inclusion in the Market Research Industry
3 August 2020 – Los Angeles, CA – Women in Research (WIRe), a global non-profit organization that champions diversity in the marketing research industry, has relaunched the MRX Diversity Champion Award in partnership with the Insights Association, a leading advocate and resource for the market research and data analytics community. The award was established in 2017 to honor individuals of all gender-identities in the market research field who actively embrace all aspects of diversity, making a positive difference in the lives and livelihoods of others.
“Since naming our very first MRX Diversity Champion award winner three years ago, this program and the impetus behind its generation has lit a spark industry-wide,” noted Kristin Luck, founder of Women in Research. “In partnering with the Insights Association, which are actively engaging organizations and leaders in the discussion of inclusion tactics that promote workforce diversity, we amplify the call to step up and deliver impactful change.”
“Now, more than ever, it’s imperative that organizations and institutions in the Market Research sphere come together to make diversity a priority,” added Melanie Courtright, CEO of the Insights Association. “The MRX Diversity Champion award is an integral piece in the larger project of fostering and celebrating a truly inclusive industry.”
The award runs annually with the 2020 award cycle submissions now open. Interested parties are asked to nominate individuals currently working within the Market Research industry who embody the values of respect, dignity, autonomy, and equality and who are actively championing diversity in their own organization or in the wider global research community. Nominations are being accepted through September 18th, 2020 and winners will be selected by a D&I panel led by the Insights Association team. The award nominees will be named the following week on social media and winners will be announced at the Corporate Researchers Conference (CRC) in October, this year taking place online.
