Driving Transformation: Getting in the Driving Seat of Your Career

Event Details

Not only is it WIRe's 15th birthday, but we also will have the first in person event for over two years, and our global theme of Driving Transformation couldn't be more fitting! We've seen a lot of change, taking stock and evolving perspectives on our careers, lives and the role we're playing in shaping them. Now we might be wondering how to take more of a driving role in that career change, step up or even simply being better heard in your team or tribe.

Being the only woman in the room (or zoom!), or even one of a few, may not seem extraordinary when in a male-dominated environment- yet when you notice, you also start to become aware of the challenges that it brings. In this talk, we explore the impact of being the “only woman in the room”, and learn the fierce career skills that women can use to take control of their career and transform their professional lives. Anita Phagura is a skilled Inclusion Specialist, ICF Accredited Leadership Coach and Masters Qualified Project Manager with over a decade of experience in the male-dominated industry of railway construction. This combination of experience, background and skills puts her in a position where she is able to deliver transformational inclusion outcomes.

We can't wait to welcome you back in person, but we are conscious that some people may be nervous (especially close to the holidays!) of larger crowds, so we will be providing a traffic light system along with your name tag to give people choice in how much space they'd like on the evening. A big thank you to our sponsors YONDER for making this event possible!
